RTK as in Real Time Kinematic
If you like technology, let's start by defining this abbreviation RTK: Real Time Kinematic or 'Cinématique en temps réel' in French. This technology equips our robots and works thanks to connectivity with several signals:
- GPS: the American positioning system widely used around the world
- GLONASS:the Russian satellite system, of Soviet origin
- Galileo: the satellite positioning system developed by the European Union
The combination of these 3 signals is then corrected in real time by a reference station. The result is centimeter-accurate mowing. A real revolution.
GPS RTK technology: faster mowing
Our customers are unanimous: the RTK GPS system speeds up pitch mowing and avoids several unnecessary passes over the same spot. For a sports center whose grounds are intensively occupied, it's easy to imagine the time saved. After installation, you may observe the same significant evolution as some of our large-scale users: going from 5 days of automated mowing to 3 passes of 2 hours. Impressive.

Your Connected Line model features RTK GPS technology
GPS RTK technology can be installed on all models in the Connected Line range. One antenna is added to the ECHO Robotics® robotic mower and a second to the ground to be mowed. An additional module is connected to your computer. That's it: the exact position of the mower can be determined and it mows in perfect strips.
Your robot mower connected via Wifi or 4G
The RTK GPS system works using a Wifi or 4G signal. In the former case, you cover a range of 250 to 300 meters. Even further with amplifiers. In 4G mode, your range is extended to 15 kilometers.
